Dentures never break at a convenient time!
They can break while you're on holiday, about to leave on a business trip or just before a wedding! I have repaired the result of a curious grandchild, a naughty dog and even a large lizard in Bali ... so don't worry ... I've seen it all!
I will do my absolute best to accommodate you in your time of need with the majority of repairs completed within two hours. I also have an after-hours emergency service available.
Most fractures occur as a result of it being dropped. Tiled floors, showers and sinks can be very unforgiving on a denture. My advice is to always clean your denture in the sink with 10cm of water or a hand towel placed at the bottom. Another common cause of fracture is chewing on hard foods, toffee, crackling, etc. The damage may have been done weeks ago eating a piece of chocolate from the fridge, however you may have been eating an avocado sandwich when the denture physically breaks!
Old and ill-fitting dentures are also more prone to fracture. Sometimes it may be worth looking into getting a new denture rather than continually investing in repairs. Your old denture will always be good as a spare!
